Our jetboats are safe and comfortable.
Our Boats
We use jetboats for all of our river safaris. Unlike a conventional propeller driven boat, a jetboat uses an internal propeller (impeller) to provide propulsion. Water is drawn in through a small inlet on the bottom of the boat, and then the jet stream is driven out the back through a movable nozzle which provides the steering ability.
- Our Transport Canada certified Jetboat, is 26 feet long, with two twin 350 Kodiak marine engines and twin Hamilton jets.
- The twin engine design is promotes safety and fuel efficiency
- Our Jetboat has removable tops and heaters for inclement weather and bus type seating for comfort. Our boat is capable of carrying 12 people per trip.
The hulls of our jet boats are constructed of heavy gage aluminum for light weight and durability. The boats are designed with a shallow angle for optimal planing and minimal draft, allowing them to operate in shallow waters. Jet boats have extremely good control and manoeuvrability. They can manoeuvre a 360-degree turn in position, they can reverse, and yes, they do have brakes! We can go upstream, downstream or stay stationary in the river currents.
